Redundancy: employment law jurisdiction query

Hi,
I work in a satelite office of an Italian limited company and have recently been told that our office is being relocated back to Italy. This means that we have all been made redundant.
However, I would like to know if our redundancy terms are applied through UK or Italian law? My contract does not stipulate anything specific regarding redundancy therefore I have to fallback on the statuatory government payout. I am not sure though if this is governed by Italy (where the company is registered) or UK (where the office is located).
Anybody got any ideas?
Many thanks in advance,
Jonny
