Anywhere in UK with a 'Lazy River'?

I know where to find some Lazy Rivers in Europe but are there any Lazy Rivers on any complexes in the UK, anywhere?

Many thanks.

If your talking about a lazy river (fast flowing cicuit) in a swimming pool, they have one at the Bunn leisure complex at the West sands holiday park Selsey, Chichester, West Sussex.
We had some fun in there.

A lazy river is (in Europe) outdoors and meanders down a hillside twisting and turning. You sit on a giant rubber ring/doughnut and have a gentle (and at times fast) ride around the lazy river. Elsewhere there are usually fast water rides inside the usual shoots etc.

Diesel44, yes that is sort of it. Except I realise now I should have specified ones you ride on large rings or doughnuts.

Anyone know if there is one in the UK?

No, the one at West sands is in the swimming pool and the swirling water push you around, no inflatables.
    Good luck with your search

There is an indoor type lazy river thing in the Alton Towers Water Park in Splash Landings hotel but it's always packed! It does have inflatable rings in it and waterfalls and things, see here: http://www.altontowers.com/waterpark/water-features/

I don't know of anywhere in the UK with an outdoor one as for 8 months of the year it would be too cold to use it! Alton Towers water park does have an outdoor pool and jacuzzi though and outdoor slides which end in the outdoor pool! I went in the outdoor pool in October so they do open it quite often and it's lovely and warm :)

Nothing like the amazing ones they have in places like Florida though which go round the whole water park!
  • A very small Lazy River is at Haven's Thorpe Park
