Harassing calls from unknown numbers

I keep getting calls everyday , like 3-4 times a day all from the same numbers 017216524 and 05296296265.

Keep asking for some foreign name i just hang up as last time i said he does not live here they say it does not matter , then try and sell me something .

Well today i got a call from 017216524 again i said listen this is harassment i said are you an idiot , i then hung up , he rang me back on 05296296265 and said why did i hang up , are you a queer:mad:

When i ring these numbers back i get a dead end , they seem odd numbers , I'm not sure what country they are calling from , but its either an Indian speaking person or Nigerian.

Anyone know who this could possibley be?

Presumably, that was supposed to be an insult but, as most of us live in the 21st century, just made him seem even more of an idiot.

Anyway, Global Telecom's website shows they have a freephone number for those whom they have abused to call - 0800 027 4748
Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.

The correct answer being "Yes, did you want some then?" :rotfl: that'll either confuse the heck out of em or make them run away scared!

Keep track of every time they call you if you can... even if just by writing down dates, times and length of call. It will help massively if the problem persists and you have to end up complaining to the police or suchlike.

I was thinking of the same thing earlier , good idea

When i see the number again ...im just going to answer as my local police station , see if that scares em off lol.

Btw Heinz thanks for that phone number and info , i will call them to make a complaint.

I couldnt believe it when he called me that word

I rang virgin media they offered to change my number for free and to report it to ofcom.

Didnt want to change my number as i got a good easy number and means telling everyone also , so see how it goes with the advice above.

    Thanks everyone :)
