sfa charges

hello all,
im currently in married quarters and i think i may be paying a bit too much for what i have. I know the amount you are charged can be affected by various things, and have some info from hive about how to query this. I figure if we are over paying we can claim something back, if not nothing lost by asking hey?
my question is has anyone ever queried the charges and won, i.e had any kind of refund or reduction?
thanks in advance

Your SFA will be graded, and you pay the charges for that grade.
You can challenge the grading for your house within X amounts of moving in. You might have seen this in the paperwork.
Your probably best contacting the housing office, or DHE for further information.

we got told we could claim a backpayment as we were paying to much for bills, i.e being £50 in credit to owing over £300. we got our house downgraded but now they are trying to fight our backpayment saying its enought hey downgraded the house. you can always try but its a fight after the downgrading bit.back to comping in 2017, fingers crossed :beer:0

Things that went wrong and meant we were overcharged were:
- not getting single person's council tax discount (I didn't live there, just my OH, so he was entitled to a 25% discount)
- the SFA getting downgraded, but no-one amending the charge on JPA, so we (my OH) was charged Grade 1 for over 2 years on a Grade 3 property
If you are being charged the correct grade, and furnished/unfurnished/garage combination, there won't be anything to claim back, but they do sometimes get these things wrong (to the tune of over £2,000 in our case).Mortgage Free thanks to ill-health retirement0 -

The DE have a charter, quoting that should help and I would get the Unit chain of command on the case as well as the welfare people, it all adds pressure.0 -
