I want to get pay-as-you-go mobile broadband but don't want to pay for my access online, I want to be able to go to any mobile operator shop or any shop which does e-top-ups as for mobile phone credit with dongle and cash in hand and get topped up electronically ready to use-no fuss no hassle. Does anybody know which operators do it this way?

No. Asda Mobile do mobile phones, not mobile broadband. Two different things which use the same technology.0 -
Three and T-mobile can be topped up at stores. (link)Try saying "I have under-a-pound in my wallet" and listen to people react!0

If my pay as you go internet were to be out of credit at 15 mins past midnight, I cannot think of a more convenient way to top up than online. You get directed to a site that accepts your card details. If OP has an issue with not being able to/not wanting to use a credit/debit card at all, please say so upfront and we'll stop suggesting the obvious!0

You know that they could fingerprint the notes or identify you on CCTV when you go to buy the topup?
