Do Booster seats fit all cars?
Options
Hi,
probably a silly question but does anyone know if the small booster car seats fit all cars, I was looking at this one http://www.kiddicare.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/productdisplayA_36_10751_-1_14568_52408_10001_14568#zoom but brittax dont list it in the fitfinder pat of their site. I want it to fit a 2006 ford Ka. I have used friends in our picasso when we have carried their children on occasion and seemed to fit ok but wondered if they were pretty universal, I know the bigger seats are car specific but not sure on these little ones
thanks

You should be able to go to Halfords and get 2 for 1 deal for £15- £20 (probably instore only). Handy if you have 2 cars and or want one for granny. I ended up with the cheapest with a bit of padding. Think our look like the Apollo but just in a plain grey colour.
They are all pretty much the same size so I wouldn't worry too much.
Some of the seats are bit fussy and start to get quite heavy.0 -
Thanks, have just found the brittax one on amazon ofr a few pence under £10 so have bought it and will chance the fit, we have bigger isofix ones in the picasso, this one is for the odd time we need to be in different places at the same time if you see what I mean
thanks0 -
With a multitude of cars, I've never had problems fitting boosters into any car. Of course there will be the odd exception....
The main problem I find is with full kids seats (ie a base/back and headrest) where a safe and exact fit is more critical. The man without a signature.0 -
i have three children one in a full car seat forward faceing and two boosters for my five year old twins in the back of a pug 307 and its a bit of a tight sqeeze to clip in the belts but they are securely fitted. if i had a smaller car they wouldnt fit at all, i couldnt get the full seat in a 5 door fiesta as it wouldnt fit through the door without the front pass seat fully forward so no one could sit in the front so passed on the fiesta and have a pug (please no comments i know pug are carp wasnt really a choice i had with a small car)0
