There's not really much difference-it's more an EA term.
Under offer: usually means awaiting survey, sale not really progressed very far
SSTC: usually survey done and moving along swiftly with sale, possibly even set dates for exchange/completion, sometimes might even have exchanged.
I wouldn't worry about it if you're purchasing, it doesn't make any difference to you.Scar tissue that I wish you saw, sarcastic mister know it all, close your eyes and I'll kiss you cause with the birds I'll share this lonely view.0 -
ah ok, thanks
theres 2 other houses we viewed and offered on 1 week and 2 weeks before this one and they are both sstc (all with same agent) so we were wondering what the difference was0 -

Hmmmm then its even stranger then as our offer has been accepted...
We got our mortgage approved today subject to surveys etc too so its definitely not just under offer..
Might have to have a word in the EAs lughole tomorrow
Thanks pastmybest0 -
I think it does depend on which EA-with us we call it a B sale/Under Offer until survey has been done and a mortgage offer issued, then an A Sale/SSTC after that point.Scar tissue that I wish you saw, sarcastic mister know it all, close your eyes and I'll kiss you cause with the birds I'll share this lonely view.0
