Gordon Brown - Piers Morgan Interview

  • Apparently the viewing figures were dire. Of all Piers Morgan interviews the only one to get more viewers than GB was Boris Becker.

    Says it all really...

What did people think of Gordon's interview last night?
I didn't watch it. I know you want comments on his performance, well I made a prior jugedment on the man (and Piers Morgan) and the media puffign up of his moment of tears and decided I could spend the time more usefully doing.. well anything.

I am sorry about his kid, it must be terrible for him. Am I interested in his story? Will it affect my vote? Not in the slightest.

Did Piers ask him why he physically attacks his staff? Now that would be interesting.

Did he apologise for wasting our taxes for ten years?

    No...

I watched someone about this last week.... aghagah cant remember the programme, but it basically wondered why the government's ad spending had gone up so much in an election year.

    Lots of propaganda about etc.

The Politics Show, Sunday Lunchtime.......;) Just more spin from the "spinmeisters"

I caught bits of it last night. Thought Gordon Brown came across as really relaxed and as a nice guy. More like he was when he was chancellor. He's never been a good public speaker, but came across really well last night.

Was this where he mentioned his deceased daughter? If so, this may sound evil but, to me this came across as a ploy to gain /votes/.

As if to say 'hey im human and decent after all, please vote for me...again'.

    No thanks for me.

I rather vote BNP than labour and the torie boys.

  • I don't have a problem with him mentioning the death of his daughter per se - it's just the combination of it with a fluffy interview with a tabloid journalist a few months before the election and a week before the first anniversary of Ivan Cameron's death that I find distasteful. Also the very staged way that the spotlight was on his wife when the question was asked - it looked so contrived. Truly toe curling.

That and the fact that he's criticised Cameron in the past for using his children as "props" and said that he wanted his private life to remain private.

Then he allows prurient questions about his sex life etc. Utterly demeaning.

Why would watch someone I hate?

I dont care if he's a nice man under interview, becasue we all know he isnt.

He's a know liar, why should be beleive anything he says.

Is hate not a bit strong? I'm not a Labour supporter because I don't believe in big government, but I wouldn't say I hate the person because I don't agree with their party's policies.

It probably is due to the election, but it's hard to deny he's strong willed.

singh lol. It's always either Patel or singh lol

It's a sham. The only corrupt thing about this is forcing the BNP to take on such a person.

I'd be far more interested to see the 3 main party leaders given really gruelling interviews (not rehearsed and not wired up to their spin doctors as GB always is when he's interviewed by Marr etc) by someone like Paxman in a prime time slot and see how they all perform and react under intense pressure.

Don't think you would see Brown agreeing to this sort of interview with Paxman.

Would be nice to see, but I can't ever see it happening.
