I am sorry to hear you have been made redundant, the same thing happened to me I was on a half days leave and recieved a phone call saying I was being made redundant, next day i got a letter saying not to return but the company went through the correct channels etc, garden leave etc.
Its not a nice thing to happen to anyone and I know how you are feeling!! That happened last year.
I'm sure someone will come along soon with more advice for you.0 -
I was made redundant back in 2001 and the company owed me a whole months wages exceeding £3000. I never saw it and had to claim 10% back from the government but that is all I got3 kids(DS1 6 Nov, DS2 8 Feb, DS3 24 Dec) a hubby and two cats - I love to save every penny I can!

It sounds as though your boss was a sole trader with a trading name rather than employing you via a limited company.
You are now one of the creditors and he should have told the accountants working on this about your status. You need to contact them to make sure they know. If you do not receive your wages, you will be able to make a claim under the statutory scheme.0
