Has anyone used Wingate Wong of Long to purchase property?
They never return calls, close for lunch etc etc, is this a one man band?

Jannie, almost every solicitor I've dealt with shuts for "lunch", usually from 1pm until 2pm, I suspect this is to catch up with any admin they need to do and scoff a sandwich down-so don't worry too much about that. Are you purchasing a property? Are there any other people available at the solicitors for you to speak to? I'm an Estate Agent and we're just about at the bottom of the list for solicitors to get back to, I've found it can help just to speak to a secretary or even insist on holding until someone is free. Do they have a receptionist who is picking the phone up or is it just straight to answerphone?Scar tissue that I wish you saw, sarcastic mister know it all, close your eyes and I'll kiss you cause with the birds I'll share this lonely view.0

Unfortunately this seems to be the case for a lot of solicitors. Never phone when they say they will, take messages and never return calls, etc. Dealt with 3 different solicitors and had this same experience with each! It's annoying as hell, but solicitors seem to be the worst when it comes to customer service

This description sounds like many a conveyancer to be honest. I used a family friend who is guaranteed to answer his phone and e-mail. However sols are notorious for being difficult to get hold of. Try a fax or e-mail if all else fails...0
