credit card help!

hi! i have a really really appaling credit rating due to student debt etc, and therefore simply cannot get either a credit card, nor a bank account. this has never really been too much of a problem, but, im going on holiday soon, and really need both! any ideas?
You lied to me Edward. There IS a Swansea. And other places.....

    Options
    Anyone can get a very basic bank account - for example Natwest do their Step Account.

    Credit cards - well there is the option of the vanquish card but even they do have credit scoring considerations.
