IVA paperwork stolen
Hi, hope that this is in the right place and that someone will be able to give some advice. Myself and my husband setup a DMP with Baines & Ernst at the beginning of December, but are now in the process of switching to an IVA. Baines & Ernst sent one of their couriers round towards the end of last week to pick up our paperwork, but the following day we received a phone call to say that the paperwork had been stolen from the couriers car whilst he was visiting another client. All of our personal details were in there, including names, address, D.O.B, NI numbers, bank account details, payslips, SOA, photocopies of our passports, signatures, Tax Credit and Child Benefit statements and the account details for our mortgage, unsecured loans and Council Tax. I've spoken to CAB and am in the process of ringing all of the relevant people that we have accounts with to let them know what has happened. Is there anything else that we can do? Also, what are Baines & Ernst's responsibilities in all of this? So far all they have said is that they could possibly get us some high street vouchers. Any advice would be much appreciated, thanks.
