I am with BG at the moment and from doing various comparisons, I would save about £40 a month with EDF, so decided to switch. I was convinced I would be declined by them on the credit check, but no credit check was mentioned at all, and I have called to check and they can see the DD details set up etc etc so all is in motion. Is this normal? I am on an IVA so my credit is terrible.
CC limits £26000
Long term CC debt £0
Total low rate loan debt £3000
Almost debt free feeling, priceless.
Ex money nightmare, learnt from my mistakes and never going back there again, in control of my finances for the first time in my adult life and it feels amazing.

Yes, it's normal. Credit checks usually only matter where you want a prepayment removed or with some newer, smaller operators who are choosy.0
