pop up blocker

Hi wonder if someone could help I am trying to go into a website and keeps coming up message Pop up blockers must be disabled to use this site.Techie newbie I have windows vista and have gone through tools pop up blocker and disabled or turned on but doesnt seem to make a difference.Can anybody help?

I had a similar problem a few weeks ago - I couldn't open any links from web sites. Mine started after I upgraded to IE8. When I realised what caused the problem, I went back to IE7 which cured the problem, but I also installed firefox. I prefer it to IE7 and have been using it ever since.

If you install FF you can get the addons via tools/addons/get addons (it will search for you). I would also recommend get spywareblaster from Javacool Software (it will also protect IE too)

Googling something that isn't spelled correctly can get you into trouble. Be careful out there!
