ipod question

I'm planning to get either a Nano or a Classic (probably classic, just wish it had radio) and I wondered if anyone knows if you can connect it to your hifi system? Also, where would it connect to - headphone socket? My hifi doesn't have a bit for the ipod or anything like that.

Anyone know? :)

if you don't have a dock, then best bet is headphone to 2x phono cable into the hifi's aux port.

Thanks Kevsan. I'm not entirely sure what you mean though:think: - this is so I can listen through the hifi's speakers, yes? I think I need to check what's at the back of the hifi too (see if there is an aux port...)

    Cheers

You don't mention what the HiFi is or anything, but generall the 2 phonos is the Aux port - a red plug and a white plug. If you've got that input free at the back of your hifi, you'll want to buy a stereo phono to 3.5mm minijack (small headphone) cable. Can be found in the supermarkets, or cheaper on eBay/Amazon.

IMO the best way is to use something like this

You will need a Aux I/P on your HiFi and one of the cables on the page
