Just a quick update ...
- Phoned bank and have officially paid off loan (7 years on from taking it out for ex-partner who kindly left me with it, never saw a penny of the money!):j:j
- Phoned CC company and apparently because I've had the card since 1998 I have extra benefits etc and shouldn't cancel the PP - have asked for the terms to be sent to me to see whether it is worth keeping until I go back to work (nice people on the phone though, weren't pushy "sellers" if you know what I mean)
- Phoned Vodafone to see how long the contract I have has left to go - 5 months apparently - not on bad tariff at the moment but may swap to PAYG when its up
- Phoned Sky to see why the last bill was so expensive - OH and boxing -grrrrr!!!!
- Phoned Peugeot garage to see how much the service will be in the summer so I can start saving - £170 hmmm...

Hi everyone - glad my little mooner made you and your DD chuckle Milly

Hope you are bearing up today Saorsie - I cannot imagine how difficult it must be for you to part with your husband's things. I hope it will be a positive step for you. x
Well done Rachel on passing your tests and paying off the loan
I am bloomin freezing. I have been looking after one of T's friends today while his Mum is at work. I took the boys and B to a country park in the New Forest and we have been yomping around there all day. It has been lots of fun, but I am very glad to be in the warm now!
Also I:
1) Not a NSD! It was going to cost £8 to park or £44 for an annual pass. I opted for the pass as we go there a lot at weekends and in the holidays so I reasoned that it will save loads in the long term. I paid in cash though, and didn't stick it on my CC.
2) Took a packed lunch and bottles of squash.
3) All meals from stores.
4) Checked banking, quidco and did SC. Worked out how much money I have til payday. (Answer - not much!)
5) Play Guess Who for free entertainment. I am getting quite good.
6) Tonight I will look at my Park Resort brochure and work out whether we can afford to book a summer holiday using our Tesco points.
Haven't had time for much else. Have a good evening, L x0 -

Hi everyone,
Oh no, the MSE addiction is taking hold! :rotfl:I usually only write up my weekend DFW little things but I have a list every day so why not share it with you lovely folks. I do love reading all your small DFW hints and tips.
Today I have:
- NSD. Took lunch to work and ate some oatcakes instead of going to the vending machine.
- Packed up a book I sold on Amazon.
- Took out my last £10 to last till payday so hopefully won't need to go to the bank (read: into overdraft!) before next week
- Checked mystery shopping
- Some piggy clicks
- Still thinking about that online shop/meal planning and wondering whether we can hold out till payday with what's in the cupboards.
- Going to cancel Lovefilm as 2 week trial finishes on Thursday
- Another load of washing on the clothes horse. Slowly getting there.
Now off for an early night to finish my book so heating can go off (OH is wearing a jumper:p).
Hope everyone had a good Monday xx0 -
Hello
A quiet day on this thread - I hope it's because everyone is bust being good!
Well done Rachel on loan & skills tests
Have done a lot of 'pot' swapping as it's pay day. Have paid for holiday flights but had to use money I'd saved for car expenses. Need to find money for rest of hols and car stuff now so will need to be extra careful and frugal.
DS3 went to a free activity day and had a fabulous time.
Had nice trip out with DS2 - as he's the middle one there aren't quite so many opportunities! We had lunch together - he's such a lovely young man! ( Thay all are tbh!)
OH came home with a surprise - he's managed to book next 3 days off - perhaps I can wangle lunch wiht him tomorrow!
Enjoy the rest of your day - see you all tomorrow
xGetting there...slowly!
GC : must do better
NSD: very rare
No matter how slow I go I am lapping everyone on the couch.0
