    Aww Luc, thanks. :)

Was just reading your list and thinking 'you don't have time for a job'! :D

Wish I was arty. I am painfully unartistic (although I can draw a copy of a picture quite accurately).

Trouble is I have so much stuff I quite often get paralysed by indecision as to what I actually want to do:o And I think creativity and artiness are very different and judging by your DIY you are quite creative.

Did I mention I was thinking I might start piano lessons when I go back to work:rotfl::o

I would string pearls on a silk thread personally. It depends what you want the piece to look like - if you want more shape and structure to the piece but aren't using hundreds of beads wire is better - thread is good for things that need to be lighter or that 'flow' IYKWIM...

Thanks Lucifa. I have pearls, seed beads and some other little crystals. I wanted to make a necklace and bracelet. I am going to a Jewellery craft fair next week so can look for silk thread there. I presume I can use the silk with a catch for the bracelet just like the necklace.

    Yep absolutely;)

And ask the people at the fair for advice - most crafters are more than happy to share what they know;)

Piano lessons? I'm jealous, always wanted to play the piano but I have small hands and can't reach a full octave, so struggled with more complex chords. I can bash a reasonable tune out on a keyboard, but would love to be better at it.

I'm not too bad at DIY, and okay-ish at putting colours together, but struggle with finishing touches.

Is the job market likely to pick up around April, do you think? Beginning of a new financial year and companies possibly having money in the budget to hire staff? Or is it fairly constant all year round in your line of work?

I use wire for most things including pearls (but thats cause wire is easier for me to hold, pearls should really be thread on thread so the don't hang so stuffly
