i think she is getting the hang of this complaining malarky !!!!

Do you think this text is good enough then to send a letter to the agent? I mean, can they charge us for an extension that they didn't invoice for, then present it 2 and a half months after we moved out of the property/ended the contract? I don't want their knucklebusters at our door... :o

i seem to recall, but, may be wrong, that even if the agent has done ALL the dealings and holds the deposit etc - it is still the landlord who is legally responsible for its return if there is a dispute.

i would just focus on your dealings with the landlady and not bother with this species argument with the LA. Send them an incredibly short note saying ""I am in dispute with the landlady. I do not agree this debt"

Yes, but the LA say the money is due next Wednesday and we don't want debt chasing people at our door...

"" money is due"" - but you do not agree that you owe it - why pay it ?

if you want a quiet life - pay it !!

if they have only sent you one letter, they are not going to employ debt collectors for a long way down the line - if ever.

i have just refused to pay a bill of £300, and they threatened debt collectors, i reported them to their professional body, sent the company a copy of my letter of complaint, and told them that i would never pay it. never heard from them since.

    courage mon brave !!!

I have convinced my kids that Haagen Daaz is German for thank you.

I also once convinced them that a very good friend had named her new baby Maureen, when in fact she was called Rebecca.

No offence to any Maureen's out there :D
