As an ex pat now living in Northern Ireland (normally on their section instead of this one!) I fondly remember St David's day growing up in Cardiff then Swansea. Do the schools still go in for the big Eisteddford events? I remember in Olchfa High School there were no lessons at all on St David's day and each house practised for weeks every lunch hour and whenever possible so make sure our choir / group / orchestra / whatever was better than the rest! Feel really nostalgic today, especially after explaining it all to my 10 yr old son who has no idea what an Eisteddford is! Happy St David's Day to you all x:beer:

The Eisteddfodau tends to be smaller these days due to curriculum pressure, but I'm sure they'll be marking the day like all the other schools.
I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.
