A Littlewoods Query re statements

Options
Hi Ladies & Gents

A question for you clever people, I have an account with Littlewoods.

Littlewoods have mucked up my a/c, cancelled a sale order I made and re-ordered it at it's regular price. This order was then cancelled by myself.

The person with the brain cell was obviously on a day off when they calculated my new statement as they claimed that I need not make a payment as I was £400+ in credit. I emailed them to tell them my statement was wrong. Someone in customer services emailed back saying no they were correct. So I emailed and said if that is the case, could they put that in letter form saying they will not at any point in the future chase me for monies owed and confirm that they will close my a/c.

Suddenly they emailed me to tell me I was correct and I was not in credit as it appears on my statement. I asked them to change my online a/c to reflect this but they said they couldn't. When I told them that this was unacceptable I received this in an email.
Unfortunately as previously advised, we are unable to force the Buy Now Pay Later excess onto your account. This wil lbe charged in January 2011.

Please continue to make your payments according to your own records.

So my account is now going to be incorrect until Jan 2011, Surely this cannot be right? Are they breaking any consumer laws by not correcting my details?

It wouldn't be so bad but my a/c payments are due to change as and when orders have been paid up but as my a/c will 'think' I'm in credit it won't ask me for a minimum payment so I won't know when my payment goes down (if you know what I mean!)

I've told them twice now that they need to amend my account but they refused both times. They told me my account balance and minimum amount to be paid this month via email.

Any ideas on my next move please? I obviously need (and in fact want) to pay my min payment but I just don't trust Littlewoods and want the correct details on my account (more out of principle than anything else!)

Thanks for reading,
Sarah x

so you bought something that wont be be charged to your account till 2011 but you want it to appear on your statement now.
why not just buy it now instead of deferring payment?

Your account wont "think" your in credit, nor will yourself as you know that the value of whatever you just pre-bought will be added to your bill in 2011.

    wheres the problem?

No I bought something and it was cancelled then re-ordered by Littlewoods at a higher price (same item) so i cancelled it.

Littlewoods miscalculated something and it has made my account as showing no minimum payment required, where in fact i should still be paying a monthly amount. They are refusing to amend my account until 2011. So yes because of poorly imputted data by someone at Littlewoods my online account does think I'm in credit as i stated in my opening post.

    Hence the 'problem' :)
