Basic Bank Account

Hi Everyone
Can anyone recommend a basic bank account - I dont want an overdraft or any credit facilities. I need to be able to set up direct debits and on line banking is a must. Also are there restrictions on what kinds of money can be paid in? Im looking at transferring all incomings i.e. earnings from self-employment, child benefit, tax credits and small amount of student loans (Im studying alongside working). I currently have two or three accounts and its too difficult to budget and try to pay off debts. Also I have two Barclays accounts and last month alone they took £250 charges!! This was due to being unable to work for a few weeks and not having anything to fall back on at the time.
Ive looked at RBS but is Co-op a good basic account?
Thanks everyone xxx

Refer to this link for a list of basic bank accounts. http://www.moneymadeclear.fsa.gov.uk/pdfs/bank_accounts.pdf
RBS and Natwest are good.
Not sure about restrictions though. I think they accept any type of income.
Direct debits and online banking are available for these kinds of accounts.0
