these guys didn't do flats and bought terrace properties and maybe some semis.

They did buy some flats. Fergus mentioned that they had, in one of the many articles that are posted on here.
RENTING? Have you checked to see that your landlord has permission from their mortgage lender to rent the property? If not, you could be thrown out with very little notice.
Read the sticky on the House Buying, Renting & Selling board.

we weren't discussing offloading them - we were looking at their value as far the lender sees them and how leveraged they may be.

you should read the posts before you dive in
The Wilsons are discussing offloading them - very much on Fergus's tiny little mind. Apparently he has several buyers lined up. Or was that last year? Maybe he's getting confused with the other "B" word.. bankruptcy.

If it smells like a loser, and looks like a loser then it's probably a loser.

As for bears, please don't confuse me with bears. I am simply a middle of the road person who assimilates the information and comes to a sensible conclusion.

Sense of humour will get you far, damn you.

Anyway, the Wilsons empire is crumbling faster than one of those Rich Tea biscuits.

    Top that.

Cheeky? no, just trying to establish the parameters of what is ''bear''. I think teddy would be ''bear'' but it probably doesn't smell like one. And if the Teddy weren;t of a bear..but..say..an elephant I'd be confused again...
