iTunes software won't update?

Hello,

I hope someone can help!

I'm trying to update my iTunes touch software. I've bought it off the iTunes site but when I go to 'download and install' it just comes up:

'iTunes could not contact the ipod software update server because you are not connected to the internet'

but I am on the internet (wireless broadband) as I'm on this site!

Thinking about it, whenever my hp printer says I have an update, it says something similar.

Can anyone help?

Hi,

Are you using a firewall? make sure that in the exceptions that the itunes and hp update software are allowed through
