Sunnygirl, my 7 year old is exactly the same....with make up and jewellery as well!!!!!! She thinks that cause I wear it, she can too......not on her nelly!!!!

Have to say thank you to both of you for this - wish all parents had a similar attitude. So many of our girls at school (secondary) are more concerned about hair, clothes and make-up than anything else. They are prepared to get up at the crack of dawn to look great, but wouldn't dream of doing the same to get homework done or revise for a test...:(
Considering that they are already like that when they come to us in Y7, when do they start?

did a lovely l-o-n-g reply last night and my lappy switched itself off (note to self lying it on the bed so it overheats is not a good idea);)

    £15 vouchers to spend there
£12 vouchers to spend at TECO but I will HAVE to go to the new huge one(which I have been carefully avoiding) as the express petrol station won't take the vouchers cos it's Esso. Unfortunately I found this out after I put the petrol in yesterday!
DD requiring EVEN more blimmin stuff for the dance show
DS desperate for football boots (his are in bits
NO TIME to do all this (due to feeling carp at the beginning of the week and therefore unable/unwilling to stand in a sports shop (HATE HATE HATE them)
    Bank account FULLY balanced!

    ho hum...

I now have less sinus paim though - last night was entire right cheek!

MrsChaos hope you have a better day today - could DH go out with the boys alone and leave you to do your bits?
    QUOTE]

Thanks, toots. Nice thought, but he's working in town 9-3 and then at the bottom of our street 5-7, followed by tea and the club. Also working tomorrow 9-4, after which he usually does very little.
DS1 has his programme for the day sorted, but I'll offer to include him in DS2's outing with me, as we've barely been on speaking terms for a few days.
    So far I have:
    S&S kitchen after breakfast x3
    hoovered kitchen and LR
decluttered and hoovered stairs and tiny landings at top and bottom
started on bathroom, which needs a proper clean (especially with sunlight streaming in -)

Just had a coffee and DS2's friend next door is coming to play. Plans may yet change... (He loves her to bits and wants to make the most of it when she's got time to play.)

Onwards, then... Almost forgot - Hugs to all poorlies.

I've been for a walk, stocked up on drugs, vitamins and tissues. And taken some real food out of the freezer in the hope that I manage to eat something other than tinned soup and brazil nuts today!

House is a tip, although i keep feeding the DW in an attempt to keep the level of squalor to a minimum.

I'm contemplating going to a uni reunion dinner... which would fulfil Pigpen's requirements for the extra :p:p... but I do wonder whether it would be a good idea, as there is probably a good reason or two why I haven't been for the last 10 years!

I cleaned all the bedrooms on Wednesday and most of the other stuff doesn't apply to me. I've done some washing and pegged it out on the line.

Made a sponge and some little fruit cakes and a cottage pie for dinner, then vacuumed right through downstairs.

I'm not sure I can keep trying for stars because so much doesn't apply to me.
