Hi,
Can anyone advise how to search for files in Ubuntu? I've booted into it but it seems searching for strings like *.jpg doesn't work.

The search feature under Places > search for files worked fine when i searched for *.mp3 & *.jpg on my system.0

find / -name 'name of file' -print
or
