Hi does anyone have any ideas of prices of a new asphalt roof? Ours has been on 20 years or so & the recent weather has not helped. Its approx. 15ft x 8ft. Going to try get some quotes but dont want to get ripped off-so any tips will be gratefully recieved, thanks guys.

Whatever prices get mentioned on here are of no concern to the actual person doing the quote. You will have to choose between the quotes that you actually receive. Telling the quoter that this forum says that the price should be £xxx will not cut very much ice I suspect. Your best safeguard is to get several competitive quotes.I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0 -

Hi we had ours redone last week and it cost £1250. That was for stripping the roof completely and replacing all the wood with new marine ply and then new asphalt over the top. The garage is approx 16 foot by 8 1/2 foot and there was also a joining roof onto the porch as well
Hope that helps0 -
ours cost 250 quid to re surface with hot asphalt. a new roof was not required.Get some gorm.0

Ballpark is £55 per square meter in Cheshire. Depends on where you are though and the complexity of your job. Get a few quotes and refs.0

Asphalt is used on concrete roofs and floors, Mineral Felt is used on timber roofs. Quite alot of difference.0 -
Why not get it fibreglassed or epdm and forget it for 30yrs, asphalt/felt has not improved in 50 yrs. If it is a concrete roof as per above, look at Liquid Rubber.0
