Tesco Clubcard Credit Card

I took out a Tesco Clubcard Rewards credit card this time last year for a BT offer which I have now paid off.

If I remember correctly, when I applied the marketing details said I would earn 1 clubcard point for every £4 spent, or if in Tesco I would get 1 point for every £1 spent.

In addition, as it is also a clubcard, I would also get a 'bonus' point for every £ spent on top of the above.

Are these figures correct? The current offer is 1 point per £4 spent spent regardless of if it is in Tesco or elsewhere.

Also, can I use my existing Clubcard on a transaction, despite this credit card being a clubcard in its own right?

they link your clubcard and credit card so you can use both and the points go on the same statement.

you get 1 point per £4 you pay off on the card.

if you use it in tesco you get 1 point for every £1 spent (2 points per £1 until summer)

since taking out this card my clubcard points have been about £30 a quarter:D

Your figures are in line with what I thought, but not what is advertised on the Tesco website - perhaps they have reduced the amount of points for new applications?

They haven't linked mine - I get a clubcard statement from my credit card (along with clubcard vouchers) and the same from my clubcard account! Could I theoretically use my clubcard card (2 points for £1 at the moment) and then my credit card (4 points for £1 as well as 2 points per £1 for the clubcard part?)

Ie, I spend £1 at Tesco.

I gain 4 points from the credit card,
2 points from the clubcard part of the credit card
An additional 2 points from my seperate clubcard?

your figures are a little off its 1 point for £4 but i know what your meaning.

They linked my credit card the first time i used it with my clubcard so i dont bother with the clubacard anymore unless i have forgot the credit card!

if i spend £4 in tesco i got the 1 point on the credit card then the 4 points for the £4 spend. I think you only get the CC points when you pay it back though, i am not 100% sure!

The website is still saying this -

"Collect 1 Clubcard point for every £4 you spend on your Clubcard Credit Card anywhere in the world.
Plus, your card doubles as a Clubcard. So when you use your Clubcard Credit Card to pay at Tesco, not only will you get 1 point for every £4 you spend, you will also collect points from Clubcard!"

It is the Clubcard part of the credit card that gets you the additional points on Tesco shopping. The credit card itself gives 1 point for £4 spent whether in Tesco or anywhere else. I don't think it's any different now to last year.

so if you spend £4 in any shop you'll get 1 point
if you spend £4 in Tesco you'll get 8 normal points + 1 credit card point = 9 points

This is right. But anyone spending £4 in Tesco using a normal clubcard would get 8 clubcard points anyway. Also to get the 1 clubcard point per £4 spent in any shop, they calculate it per transaction not the monthly total. That means you only get a clubcard point for every whole £4 that you spend so if you spend £7.99 in one transaction, you will only get 1 clubcard point.

I just got £16 in vouchers from Tesco for the time I had the credit card.

I didnt realise I was going to earn that much tbh!! Spent it on sweets this weekend hah!
