If they want to keep you for another 2 months, then they should serve notice 1-2 months afterwards.

I think you're perfectly entitled to refuse to work there and also don't let them bully you into thinking that you have no time to look for a job.

I was made redundant in Nov 2008, but the company gave me about 2 months paid holidays, which was quite good.
