DWP & virgin media?

okay this is a totally nosey question but anyway
last couple of weeks i have noticed a few letters from the DWP (you can see the DWP web address above the address section)
however these letters were franked by Virgin media?
at first i thought it was someone sending proof of address or the like to VM
but i have seen a few now
any idea what they are about?

Haven't noticed that, will keep my eyes open for it, have been stuck in locker for past 2 weeks though, and I delivery to a mainly non cabled area. So maybe that's why I haven't noticed it.

I don't know - possibly VM debt recovery letters referring people to the DWP for benefits advice? I am not aware that VM would do any outsourcing for the DWP (or anyone else), but it is a long time since I was there. I would be interested to know the answer!

Sorry to hear that custardy, I have always enjoyed reading your RM anecdotes (goos and bad!), hope you find a more reasonable employee in the near future.

  • Might be something to do with calls to benefit claim lines now being free of charge from mobiles? (If virgin media are owt to do with mobiles)

    Unlikely but perhaps!
  • i think thats likely.. my mobile phone contract is with virgin media now, rather than virgin mobile. :)
