hello everyone. I have just sat here and read all the comments and am in tears. I cant thank all of you enough and from the very bottom of my heart I do so, with all I am.

I am stuck here in Nottingham tonight so the saga is not over, the car cant be fixed til tomorrow and is going to cost a lot more than I was first told so still have some figuring out to do yet. and some days I am wondering if it will EVER end........but......I got the job and have not stopped smiling despite it all!!

Toots, I owe you so much you have really become such a dear friend but this you know. To all of the rest of you, again you are all so very special to me in ways I cant explain or could I ever help you understand.

Thank you again, and as I have ummmmmm *close your eyes toots* not really eaten for a ummm a few days, I do think I am going to try and find some food in a little bit, have a stonking headache and still stressed but cant stop smiling at all!!

Much love and many hugs to you all, you all really are like family to me and I would not have what I have right now if it were not for you all!

Hales - heehhe I guess we can finally scratch that task off the list!!!!

    xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Thank you all!

Lmao!!! I know a male hairdresser but he's totally not interested in what women look like if you know what I mean! Men round here more interested in sheep :-/

ooh I like Rose Noir - thanks Mambury!!! I'll be coming to you for ideas as well as babymoo :-)

Sounds like a brand of choccies - does anyone do handmade chocolates? We could have all sorts of tie-ins here :D

Munchki - maybe your car is telling you that you shouldn't be going back at all!! So when do you officially start?

well, I;d work it out on an hourly basis plus a flat fee...

eg 3 hours at 10euros an hour plus.... 10euros ????

so if they come back to you with 25 words next time you charge them the flat of 10 euros ...

figures just popped into my head...

If I only knew how long it would take - I can never do quotes! Except for proofreading, I charge per page, so that´s easy to work out.

I know that feeling....love books.... Don't understand people who don't.... my sister doesn't even read trashy mags.

Amber - is it an easy translation... eg a menu or something similar or is it medical? I think the more involved the translation the more you charge... I guess you;d be better off quoting a flat rate depending on the text (eg medical / menu etc) and then timing yourself for next time....
