Best news today!!! Well done, munchki, we knew you could do it!!

Also happy to chip in for the car repair. :)

I'm sure our clever little munchki will be along tonight to say thanks personally. I sent her the money she needed to get the car sorted this afternoon, not sure about the logistics of how or when it'll get done, but she should at least get home tonight.

MummyandPaige have you linked your eBay on one of the FB groups? Would be nice if we could take a look at whats on offer once you've got listed! I'm sure I don't just speak for myself, bookaholic that I am! :D

Moneymabel the black roses sound brilliant! Me wonders if you're going to get any sleep tonight!!

  • Give me a day or two to get them listed then will post links to EBay and Amazon on the facebook page, not scouting for buyers, just don't think you really have any idea just exactly how many and what are here! There are some crackers though, makes you wonder!

Well done, Toots :) Is this the Nottingham job? Are we all on the lookout for accommodation in Nottingham now??

MummyandPaige, I didn't mean to suggest they'd all be listed already, your photos showed the enormity of that task pretty well :rotfl: I just meant once they are, I'd love to trawl, I have a passion for old books... including their smell..... :D

2cats, yes, it's the Nottingham job, the one she really really wanted, but she's already scouted accommodation, just needs to wait for her paycheck!!!

Anyone watching the one show? How much botox has Carly Simon injected exactly???
  • lol, thats one thing we noticed today, the smelly hands! Right off to phone OH, and see if he is within 12 miles. Random fact, once you get about 12 miles offshore, your mobile won't work! He said he would phone by now, doesn't look like I will be seeing him before bed, worry too much, I know, but you should see his rickety old tub of a boat, stop dribbling now! I'm going, then bath the neglected children, they have been so good today, makes me feel worse!

When are we all off to Nottingham for a big celebratory party then? It's a great city, really good for a night out :)

    Definitely!!

MummyandPaige, I love the smell of old books, but I believe that too much of it is a bad thing - the smell is caused by the books' slow decay and can actually cause madness and paranoia! Don't worry though, it takes years and years of constant contact for that effect!
