  • ooh I've never heard of Folksy, may need to check it out. I do tend to buy quite a bit from etsy so maybe I shouldn't look :D I need to set myself a few targets for March, apart from ebay, dooyoo and quidco I've haven't really done that much in Feb. I'm determined to blow the cobwebs off the sewing machine and have a go at pillowcase dresses. I'm also thinking about dd's birthday party and attempting to make some fabric party bags.

Mummy & Paige - I am soooo jealous! I love books.... Ta for the crochet and veggie ones.... Let me know how much the postage is and I will send some money via paypal before you send them!!
    I've PM'd you...

Copperjar - hang on in there..... are there many other products the same on ebay? What are the prices like?? Is it because its the end of the month?

Helen - I haven't sold tesco/george adult clothes by if you are getting them at that price, if they are nice clothes then I would probably sell them off in smaller bundles.... even if you make a tenner after fees, its a tenner although with those quantities I;m sure it will be more.... are they new or used?

2 cats - no stopping you now??!! :T

Lilac Pixie - you are waaayy ahead of me! One of my NYR was to learn to crochet..... oh and make lots of money!!

Wayne - one thing to remember on small earnings exemption is that you are already working.... check out with HMRC if that affects whether you can apply or not....

not a lot happening here today except the extension is now part of the house!! We have another two bedrooms upstairs that I can now get to via the proper stairs and not a ladder through a hole in the ceiling!! Not too much mess either, I must say I am impressed with OH & DS hoovering skills!

Just packing up a load more sales on ebay so I don't have to do it tomorrow and another 5 items finishing tonight so the pennies are coming in slowly.....

I promised OH that I would spend some time with him as I am upstairs a lot recently..... Scrap that hes asleep!!! So I shall spend a little time putting a few more bits on ebay and then an early night for me!

Mambury - what are your plans for your garden fund? It always inspires me when i see your signature to start my own garden fund. My garden's just a muddy mess at the moment as my pet ducks like skidding around in the rain and eating the lawn. It's fab to watch them having fun but it won't be so good when BBQ season comes!
    Just £10,852.28p to go...

    :D

    Trust that little voice in your head that says "Wouldn't it be interesting if...";
    And then do it.
  • Saucy, I was browsing in a bookshop today and looked at some magnetic notebooks with fancy covers - €17!! Methinks you're undercharging ... what about doing some with magnetic covers, or ribbon ties - especially for keepsake/baby books?

well, I am part of the daydream fund challenge as started by CoolTrikerChic on the gardening board. Most of the others are saving for a house with land and smallholding but I am part way there already! My house sits in about 1/3 acre...
My fund is at 0 at the moment as I spent about £1000 buying two sheds, two greenhouses and materials for about 25 raised beds.... now all I need to do is get them put up/in!! OH is getting a digger in a few weeks so that he can level off the bottom part of the garden and then the greenhouses and sheds can go up.... and its up to me to build the raised beds. You haven;t seen my woodworking skills! I;'m hoping that OH will see what a bloody mess I make and offer to do them for me :D.
The aim is to grow our own veg, being veggie I eat a lot and so do the kids..... we get through a bag of apples every two days al well as oranges, carrots, cucumbers etc. Once the veg patch is up and running I am planning to save up to get some chickens so I will have to spend some money on a fixed run, house etc..... The next thing on the plan after that is bees.... I LOVE honey! I should imagine the bees are quite a few years off yet though!
I grew veg a few years ago (haven';t been able to for a few years because of problems with the soak away in that it wasn't! We had spetic sludge at the bottom of the garden! Nice!) and really enjoyed it. I want to get the kids involved too as I think it is soooo important for kids to know where there food comes from and the effort it takes to grow it.

I shall pop off to the garden centre tomorrow to get some compost and start sewing some seeds this weekend I think.

A bit of a ramble, but you did ask!!!!

ooohh, ducks... I like duck eggs. Do they really make that much mess?

I will work on that in a bit, have to go watch a film with OH and the inlaws first...just downstairs, but would so prefer to be crafting.
