Mimms - I blought Hosting from DYOS for the simple reason it was very easy to set up where as I found 123 very difficult.

Cally - Good luck with the application :)

Right i know its going to delay things slightly but ive just bought 5 light transfer sheets off ebay for £2.65 (free p+p) and i thought that was cheap. Just need to get the t shirts now from meadowhall and my bags come and (hopefully!) i can start my progress.
Looked on sports direct and couldnt see any fruit of loom, however they may have them in meadowhall, but if they dont, would it be advisable to buy a few gola t shirts, with the little gola symbol in the corner or not, cheers:beer:

getting confused now-is it your tarot site thats finished or the 'other' one? The 'others' a member only site isn't it?

    My little brain hurts :-/

The tarot site was finished ages ago, the 'other' one does not, as far as I can see, have to be members only as it is not strong content.

    sorry to be a thicko,
can you build your website before you buy hosting, or does it have to be the other way around?

    A quick question
If clothes are 1950s -1960s are the vintage?

If they are !970s are they retro?
If they are 1980s - 1990s what are they (just junk lol :rotfl:)

I think I read on a site - may have been Etsy - can't remember - that anything over 20 years old is vintage and I agree with Amber Sunshine re vintage and retro - I think she's right there.

You can build your website before hosting using a Desk Top Publishing programme such as Microsoft Frontpage or you can use Notepad or Wordpad if you know how to code in HTML

edit - brain fuzzled today but think i've got correct words in right order
  • hi moofie,

Sorry to hear your at a dead end with where to go next. I have been selling wholesale on ebay and via a few webshops (this is now my third different one) for a while. My repeat customers seem to be growing now as well so they seem to be making money otherwise i guess they wouldnt keep purchasing. I used to break down the lots i now sell individually and was doing well (around 150 sales a week on ebay alone) but i just couldnt keep up and decided to move into selling joblots to allow people who do have the time.

found out we wont be getting working tax credits as over the £17k threshold

Is £17k the actual threshold for working tax credits? Tried to do a check on entitledto.com and it was vague on that - have a colleague who needs to know - and if DH gets made redundant next month (has been told it's him or his boss!) WE will need to know!
