Which version of Ipod Touch is the latest?

Wikipedia (i know, i know) states that we are on 2nd GEN but 3rd GEN models are advertised on Ebay?
Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

8gb touch: 2nd gen (shops say 3rd gen but they are 2nd gen ipods with firmware 3)

    16 & 32gb: 3rd gen

They don't make a 16GB anymore. The 3rd gen ones are 32GB and 64GB. The 3rd gen have voice control and faster processors. The 8GB one you cna still buy is a 2nd gen one.
