HPI Check - Finance

arg, i wrote all this out and then my cat deleted it some how :mad:
So i've got my car for sale online and someone has contacted me about doing a PX with their car, it seems like a really good deal, car i want, low mileage etc etc. So i asked if it's all HPI clear etc and she was really slow to respond and once i prompted said yep, it's all fine!
So this morning i was feeling suspicious and ran an HPI check, there's some finance outstanding... What are your thoughts? Dodgy person trying to rip me off or maybe genuine thicky who didnt know what an HPI check was?

probably knew it would show up as having finance. I'd steer way clear unless you have verfiable proof outstanding finance has been paid off
