I have also corrected the poll too

Was just wondering what size mortgages other people had, as i have not noticed anyone on this forum with a mortgage as big as mine. Also i wanted to find out if anyone else is overpaying and what tips you have to do this, as i want to reduce my term as much as i can.

Here are my details:

Mortgage taken out: £238000
Term: 30 years (29 years left - but am overpaying at the moment in order to reduce this)

Took out a small mortgage of £15000 in Jan 2007. The term was 18 yrs (was on very low income at the time) but in fact i'm aiming to have it paid off by January 9th 2011. Currently stands at about £8897.
    PO xx :)

There's not a tickbox for mine, it was £58,000 in 2001.
I think we owe about £45,000, with 16 years left which we will cut down.

i basically prioritise my spending to essentials and throw everything that is left at the end of the month at the mortgage, when i started i was on a low income but have since been promoted twice - the second promotion was a big one - and that has made it quite easy really. i also collect vouchers from credit cards and pigsback, cash in on bogofs and offers for stuff i buy (never pay full price for shampoo and the like), walk if i can instead of driving, meal plan and batch cook from scratch, make sure nothing is left on standby, mortgage pig for small change etc etc.
also because 15k is such a poor excuse of a mortgage, it goes down really quickly which is very motivating!
