Please Help!! Neff Oven cuts out when warm?

Hi we have an old but very good condition neff b1420b singe fan oven. It warms up and cuts out at about 180. The stat seems to work as it clicks on the temp switch when moved and the light goes on and off, but I know when I turn the heat up it does not work as the oven light does not dim momentaraly indicating current draw. I have taken the element cover off and can see no visable faults. The fan also seems lazy and works as and when it feels like albeit very very slowly. Once the oven has cooled a little the element visually reheats. It seems a little better with the element cover removed as it gets hotter now before it shuts off! Any ideas please?? :T
