Shaver light recommendations

I suppose this is only slightly technical, but maybe an electrician or a satisfied customer would be able to advise on a reliable shaver light where the shaver socket does not give up after anything between three days and three months!

My ancient and very reliable Crabtree version (probably 25 years old) failed some time ago, and so far I have gone through three of the Linolite £20-odd ones, all where the rubbish sprung metal terminals have bent away and no longer make contact. A shaver light where the shaver socket has ceased functioning is largely a waste of space.

Unfortunately, the Crabtree and MK equivalents are about £80 each, so I would be interested in any recommendations for ones which might last another 25 years!

Thanks!

  • If this is for use in a bathroom then you must use the ones with transformer isolated shaver sockets - ones without transformer are not permitted in bathrooms.

You can get an MK transformer dual-voltage shaver outlet for about £25

install it in a back box next to your shaver light.

If it's not in a bathroom just get a shaver adapter in a convenient ordinary socket.
A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.
