County Court Judgement

I've got a county court judgement for £4k ordered to pay it immediately which I obviously cant.

I've just received a letter from Gregson and brooke offering me help.

Is this just a company that pick out people who have just recieved a ccj or are they affiliated with the court, from what I gather from there website they are wanting to offer me debt management but I only really have this one creditor to pay at the moment.

Any advice?

Did you attend the court hearing when the CCJ was awarded?

Not too sure about all this but you may be able to apply for a redetermination from the court so that it is a more managable amount.

Also, you may be able to make a reduced full and final settlement offer on the CCJ - as long as it's not a partial or short settlement.
After falling off the gambling wagon (twice): £33,600 (24,000+ 9,600) - Original CC Debt: £7,885.91

    Dad Gift 6k ¦ Savings & Inv Tst: £2,500
    Loan 10k: £0 ¦ Dad 5.5k: £2,270 ¦ LTSB: £0 ¦ RBS: £0 ¦ Virgin £0 ¦ Egg £0

    Total Owed: £2,270 (+6k) 11/08/2011

    No didn't attend court.
I'm unsure whether this is official from the court, it looks to be a debt management company and I just can't see the court having an affiliation with a debt management company.

That's all they do, they receive a list of recent CCJs and offer people "Advice" for a fee of course :rotfl:

If you're unable to pay the full amount, write to the Court requesting a redetermination / reassessment of the demand within 14 days of the Judgement, it's always best to include an up to date I&E.

Write to the court ;) never trust a creditor to act in YOUR interest ;)

Complete this form and send it to the court, be sure to keep a copy

Yes, include in the letter what you can afford to pay, send a copy of your letter to the claimant.
