Can't reinstall avira

My son uninstalled avira free antivirus, now he wants it back on and we can't istall it,it seems to install but there's nothing there when its finished so I don't know if I am installing correctly, done all the malware stuff, can you please help.
If you don't get what you want today maybe the Postie will bring it tomorrow. :j:j:j

It's not listed under your programs from the start menu then? Have you checked the program files folder from the C: drive in explorer for the Avira directory, is it there?0
