Help with synching wireless guitar for Rock Band

Already got the ACDC version and managed to synch the guitar for that, but I can't get it to work for Rock Band game.
I have a stratocaster wirless guitar and it can be used with Guitar Hero or Rock Band.
I have a black dongle with a switch for either Guitar Hero or Rock Band.
I press connect whilst the rock band switch is activated and click on solo as I want to use the guitar only. I don't have any other instruments.
It then comes up "No microphone has been detected, please connect a microphone to the USB connector to play this game mode as a vocalist. But I don't want to play it as a vocalist, I just want to use the guitar, argghhhhh.
Can anybody help a damsel in distress please.

We are using a 10 fret guitar which is wirless, still can't do it.
Works with ACDC as solo though.0
