My house broke recently, I found an old digital phone to replace it temporarily but the batteries didn't hold much of a charge.

The old phone had the original rechargeable batteries in - 700 mAh, NiCd 1.2v and I have replaced them with some rechargeables I had in the house - 2100 mAh, Ni-MH-Accu 1.2 volt.

Is it safe to use batteries with a higher mAh, and different 'Ni' code?
