Tow bars on motobility cars

Does anyone have a tow bar on their motobility car?

If so how much does it cost?

I'm asking as I've seen loads of people with them on disabable cars and as we have a caravan and love going away for weekends with the car we have at the moment.

I have a friend who has a tow bar on there Mobility Car. They have a Caravan and go to France in it each summer. I dint like asking them about it, as to me it seems a bit strange to be able to handle a caravan if you are on high rate mobility. As far as I know they get the tow bar fixed themselves and pay for it, an it has to be removed before they change their car.

You can get caravan movers now. They are remote controlled. I have seen quite a few people using them at various campsites & they look very good as you can get them into fairly tight pitches & then drive them up to your towbar when you are ready to leave.

Lots of older people use them and they also use a drill with a special leg-winder in them so they dont have to bend down so far and it saves them the hard work.

OP if you havent got one for yours it might be worth looking into.

    Many thanks for the replies.

I have seen a lot of people use the movers and it's amazing how good they are but also if you're a good driver and very good at reversing you can also get them in spaces.

It's my hubby who is the disabled one and all the stuff now is for me and my son to do which is good for him giving him some responsibility.

But I must admit that I've seen a lot of people who do seem to abuse the system eg this man I saw him walking about fine when he thought that no one was around then when he knew there was people he went about in a motability scooter.

I know that some people can have good and bad days and my hubby does but he's now got a wheelchair cos he cant walk very far and going away is beneficial for him and also the rest of the family and will get me fit pushing him around just will have to tie the dog to the side of the wheel chair lol
