Don't know security code

I have an ancient sim card in my phone.
So ancient in fact is says `one to one` on it.
I was given a phone many moons ago with this card in it and I have tranferred it thru the years to new phones.
My problem now is: I want to delete all my contacts held on the phone (not the sim) as thanks to somone else mucking about with my phone (with my permission I must add) it has duplicated all the entries.
It won't let me do this without the security code which I do not know.
Any ideas what I can do?

Under your contacts or phonebook menu there is normally an option to choose which contacts to display.. ie from sim, from phone or from both.
Choose either the SIM or phone and you wont see all the duplicates.
If you say what phone your using we might be able to help with the standard security code.0 -
Thanks for your advice.
The phone is an LG Cookie 5000 -
Standard security code is '0000'
Worth a try0 -
Thanks Streeet I have done intially what you said, I never thought of that and I have indeed `hidden` the numbers on my phone and just left the numbers on the sim in the list of contacts.
I will try your suggestion re. the code but at least the problem is now solved for me.
Thanks again0 -
If you put the wrong code in three times or more it will block that code for the phone.
BUT:D then you can call your network provider and get a code to unblock your security code feature and put a NEW security code IN:j:) and it is FREE.
