Conkers claim

Hi all,

Stupidly we have a PPI claim through conkers. We haven't heard anything from them for more than 12 months, but we have had plenty of legwork and forms to fill in direct from all parties involved. If it wasn't for this site we would have given up ages ago!

We have initiated any contact with the FSCS and Deloittes even though Conners (no spelling mistake) were named on the complaint at the start.

Is it possible to discharge them as not only is the fee exorbitant they have done almost nothing to push the case along or keep us informed?

Thanks!

Hi, It would depend on what your contract actually says and who it is with.

yes, I agree with marshallka you need to read the contract you signed to see if there is a charge if you break the contract or if they've promised to do certain things can you then say they've breached the agreement.

What I'd do is write to them, tell them by not being in contact they've breached your agreement - say this is a formal complaint and if you don't hear anything back you'll take your complaint to their regulator the Claims Management Regulation Unit - part of the Ministry of Justice
