Hi
I'm going to see the sound of music next Saturday with my mum, granny and aunt. Where is good to eat very nearby the playhouse?
When I usually go to Edinburgh we usually end up in a pub or John Lewis for lunch but as my granny (80yr old) is going we want to try and find somwehere very close by as trying not to walk far at all. Don't think she has been in Edinburgh for 20ish years so will be getting taxi to playhouse.
JUst looking for somewhere where we would get a good lunch - normal meal
Thanks - I've been raking my brains but don't really know that end of Edinburgh!

try the omni centre right next door to the playhouse, various places to eat there including pizza hut, frankie and benny's plus others. you can google it to see whats there. Enjoy your show. I went to see it last week and thought it was fab.0

there is also Guilianos opposite the Playhouse which is always brilliant and think they do meal deals before shows but is always busy so maybe check before going for a table. really want to go and see the show, hope you have a good time!0

I took my mother to the Sound of Music a few weeks ago and had a meal in John Lewis. It was very reasonable and not overly busy. My mother also cannot walk very far and this was an ok distance to walk. It helped that it was downhill.Must learn not to count chickens before they are hatched!!!!:D
Every day is a new challenge not a new problem!:p
