Swapped over to BT broadband last monday and ever since the internet keeps 'freezing' so I press ctl, alt, del and comes up programme not responding - it completely refuses to go further than e-bays home page (maybe that's not a bad thing
) Checked internet connection which is fine (changed to BT as the tiscali/talktalk one kept cutting out but it doing this isn't much better.) I've done a full scan and no nasties so as it seems to be internet explorer any ideas as to what to do next? Did think about defragging (can't remember how so will need to look it up) OH WILL throw it across the room if it continues being naughty though so any help gratefully received!
Thanks

Would you care to post your router statistics.
You could try another browser, say Chrome of Firefox.
Are you connected wired or wireless?
Defraggler is a good free download, but I doubt its your problem.
Also are you up to date with Windows updates. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
Thanks, Penrhyn - where do I find my router statistics? We are connected wireless. Updated windows yesterday. We have only had occasional probs with Interet Explorer before so this is quite irritating

what router you got is it homehub?
alot of router stats if in internet explorer come up from typeing in an ip usually of 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.0.2
then you need username and password0 -
did you install all the rubbish on the CD that comes with the BT hub ??
I'd uninstall it all as its not required
might be whats causing the freezingEx forum ambassador
