same thing happened to me in barclays. I withdrew some money and then went and paid it into another bank where they said one note was fake and pretty easy to spot by trained eye. they confiscated note and said they were going to destroy it. I didnt have any other money on me accept that which I had withdrawn out of barclays. barclays said i couldnt prove they had given me the fake note and their cashier had worked in bank for so long and they could not believe she had passed me a fake note. the banks will not admit they are in the wrong.
