It will be SB in 6 years time, however, just because a DCA holds a credit licence doesn't mean they understand consumer legislation

99.9% of the time, it's down to the consumer to educate them :rotfl: and even then, some won't accept what's quoted

The letter saves getting into a paper exercise with any of the muppets :p

5 years for me, the advantage of living in the cold of Scotland :rotfl:

Thanks guys. N-I-D of course you can use it in your threads.

My only concern is there anyway to prevent them from selling it on and I start from the beginning again.

The letter of course will be looked after.

No the only way to enforce it is if they find the agreement..... not likely.

Its finished - move on mate.

    Nice one. :T

I did promise an update and here it is.

I am on the CCCS and this would be great to get rid of. What is my next best step? I know they are reluctant to stop payments to creditors.
I did wonder if it was worth sending them a stupid F&F for £500 to seal it forever. Is it worth a shot? They already have about £600 of it paid from my DMP.

Great news for you. Just wondering - how long ago was the agreement you had with them? I am paying mine off on my own DMP - but it would be handy to know if I managed to get some money together to offer a F & F.

Mine is a credit card, probably issued in 2000 -maybe before, but not sure without delving through the mound of paperwork.

    Thanks

Frame it, and smile every day as you glance at it hanging on your wall!! Use the extra cash to pay off the others or maybe just buy the odd bottle of wine and chocolates and congratulate yourself on the fact that the system just for once worked in your favour!
