The 6% bonus is actually added on 2nd August, not 1st. After that, of course, there's the 5.1 fix for 6 months.
Really splitting hairs but just phoned them and apparently it's added at midnight tonight (1st August) .... so visible on the account tomorrow .....
(anyone going to log in at one minute past midnight to check up on them !!!!!)0 -

I checked this morning (2 aug) and the account shows regularly the Reward Bonus. Rapid calculation shows it is correct.
They credited 1.59% gross on the additional money introduced from 15 May 2006 to 31 July 2006.
Good bonus. Sorry it did not last longer... moving now the money elsewhere...0 -

Yep. I hadn't bothered to work out how much our bonus was going to be, but I must admit I was very pleasantly surprised this morning :T0 -
The maxmium possible would be:
2 and a half months at 1.59% on the full balance (less £1) assuming that all but £1 was added on 17th May say and then stayed unchanged until 2 August.
2.5 x 1.59 is about '3.98%'
Compared to the ING rate of '4.5%' that's about 8/9ths of the interest credited on 1st August (covering the month of July). You could have received more if, for instance money was withdrawn towards the end of the bonus period (since less would be earned in July) but I haven't bothered to check this either since I have found previously ING's interest calculations to be spot on. (As are most banks, to be fair).....under construction.... COVID is a [discontinued] scam0 -
